Junior Squad
Junior Squad is for beginning level competitive swimmers.
Training is designed to be fun whilst teaching the fundamentals of the four competitive strokes, race starts, turns and streamlining.
Coaches also reinforce proper training habits, behaviour and lane etiquette. T
here is a dry land component to the training sessions to promote fun and teach basic athletic movements.
Teen Fitness Squad
Helping high schoolers stay fit and improve their swimming.
Aimed to help ex competitive swimmers stay involved with swimming, aid water polo players, surf lifesavers, triathletes and others prepare their swimming conditioning in a positive team environment.
Junior Perfomance Squad
Junior Performance is the clubs top Junior aged squad for swimmers who have mastered the fundamentals of the four competitive strokes as well as the skills involved with training and racing.
Each training is designed to continue to develop and refine stroke mechanics and skills, while introducing fuller training sets and progressions.
Dry land training is more structured to strengthening and athletic development while keeping that fun factor.
Age Development Squad
Age Development is the next stage. Trainings emphasise stroke and competitive skill development to an advanced level.
Priority is given to the knowledge and physiological needs of the young developing athlete. A more advanced dry land conditioning program is part of training to promote core flexibility, strength and athleticism.
This squad is aimed to bridge the gap between squad levels for the younger high schoolers. Allowing them to stay in touch with peers in JP and Age Group, as they push forward towards being Age Group Squad members.
Age Group Squad
Age Group is the base squad for the majority of our high schoolers. Trainings emphasise stroke and competitive skill development to an advanced level.
Priority is given to the knowledge and physiological needs of the young developing athlete. A more advanced dry land conditioning program is part of training to promote core flexibility, strength and athleticism.
These swimmers may carry out a regular schedule of meets including local, regional and potentially national level.
Senior Squad
Senior Squad is designed to prepare older athletes with a sincere dedication to the sport and commitment to training.
Members of this squad are year 12+ at school and are set on progressing towards a high level of achievement at Age Group or Open level nationals.
Skill development continues to be refined with an increased emphasis on challenging aerobic and anaerobic training.
A demanding dry land conditioning program is an integral part of training.
Athletes in this group will compete in local, regional, national or international meets. This is the performance end of the club.
Old Devils (Masters) Squad
The Old Devils return. Masters swimming is back.
Programs aimed to fit different levels. As social or serious as you want it to be.
